Privacy policy

The short version

Invisible Ink only runs when you click it, only on that tab. It reads that page in your browser to find hidden text, shows you what it found, and forgets it when you close. It stores nothing and sends nothing to anyone, including us. There are no accounts, analytics, ads or cookies.

Who we are

Invisible Ink is made by SWE3WE (Sweeney Creative), an independent developer in the United Kingdom. Contact: hello@swe3we.dev.

What it reads

What it stores

Nothing. Invisible Ink has no storage permission. The number on its toolbar icon is kept by your browser for that tab and clears when the tab goes to another page.

Nothing is sent

Invisible Ink has no server and no network code. Its one page of its own, a note shown on pages it can't read, is blocked by its security policy from connecting to anything. You can check this in your browser's developer tools, or read the code on GitHub.

"Copy report" puts the report on your clipboard, only when you press it. Where you paste it is up to you.

What the page can see

While the evidence card is open, it sits on the page, so the page's own code can tell it's there. When you close it, it's removed. Nothing about Invisible Ink is visible to websites before you click it.

Your rights

Because Invisible Ink collects no personal data, there's nothing we hold about you to access, correct or delete. You can remove the extension at any time. If you have a question or concern, email us. In the UK you can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children: Invisible Ink collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes: if this policy changes, we'll update the date above. A change that sends any data anywhere would be explained in the extension before it took effect.
